Pizza: it's a staple in any student's diet, which is why it should always be made available round-the-clock. Sound too good to be true? Not any more.

The US is set to get its very first pizza ATM, and it's the students at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, who'll be the lucky recipients of the 24/7 machine.

The institution has teamed up with French company, Paline, to install the machine which is being placed just outside of the main dining hall for students who get the late-night munchies.

Priced at around $10 (£7.60) per box, the device is able to hold around 70 pizzas which are stored in a built-in fridge, and then transferred into the oven - a process which takes just three minutes - before being boxed up and dispensed through a slot.

The company behind the genius idea, Paline, has said the dispensers have been in Europe for 14 years, according to Business Insider UK.
